Revenue department is responsible for the collection of revenues from the citizens of the Garhwa and to perform well for their well being.The total receipts of Garhwa for the year 2010-11 were Rs 2,089.48 lakhs against Rs 3,185.61 lakhs during 2010-11.

Following are the departments which will increase Garhwa Revenue:

 

DISTRICT REGISTRY DEPARTMENT

Registration department is a non-plan department. The statutory basis of the department is the registration act of 1908 which provides for a legal framework relating to the registration of documents & the overall administrative framework for registration establishments like IG Registration, District Registrar, District Sub Registrar, Sub Registrar etc.. It collects revenue by way of stamp duty & registration fee on various types of instruments. It also registers societies, firms & marriages. The department also procures, stores, distributes various types of stamps (judicial as well as non judicial).

In Garhwa registry office the total collection of revenue for the month January 2011 is 68.70 lakhs and in previous month total collection is 461.03 lakhs and upto coming future month, revenue collection is 529.74 lakhs. But, 780.50 lakhs is the actual collection for this financial year

EXCISE DEPARTMENT

Products and prohibition department whose main function is a non-planning department to the people to prevent illegal and toxic alcohol produces pure alcohol, determined to get through manufacturing deal to make and keeping alcohol consumption to control product revenue to recover. Prohibition in drinking is harmful to health, the promotion of the warning above 50 percent and ST population in the panchayat alcohol ban on shop opening to be implemented.

In Garhwa Excise office the total collection of revenue for the month January 2011 is 37.18 lakhs and in previous month total collection is 342.00 lakhs and upto coming future month, revenue collection is 375.78 lakhs. But, 530.00 lakhs is the actual collection for this financial year.

DISTRICT MINING DEPARTMENT

Garhwa is known for its mineral resources. The district economy, industrialisation and employment mainly depend upon its development and utilisation. Several Steel industries, aluminium plant are based on iron, bauxite available in the district. Limestone produced in the district is being utilised in the Cement plants located within and without the district.

In Garhwa mining office the total collection of revenue for the month January 2011 is 22.47 lakhs and in previous month total collection is 448.67 lakhs and upto coming future month, revenue collection is 395.02 lakhs. But, 747.48 lakhs is the actual collection for this financial year

AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION IN BAZAR SAMITI

The District shall be self sufficient in food production and would have fully utilized the horticulture and floriculture potential The District will develop a strong supportive infrastructure for rapid agricultural development as also for storage, preservation and marketing of agriculture produce.

In Garhwa Bazar samiti, the total collection of revenue for the month January 2011 is 12.56 lakhs and in previous month total collection is 94.88 lakhs and upto coming future month, revenue collection is 115.23 lakhs. But, 130.00 lakhs is the actual collection for this financial year

DISTRICT TRANSPORT

Transport and Communication related activity is an important area of activity in the Services Sector. Smooth movement of goods and hassle free public transport system is one of the indices of modern and better administered  state.  Better administered Transport system act not only as catalyst for growth but also provides employment to many. The Garhwa is improving the transport system and take it to the level of districts.

In Garhwa Transport Department, the total collection of revenue for the month January 2011 is 15.60 lakhs and in previous month total collection is 146.00 lakhs and upto coming future month, revenue collection is 118.11 lakhs. But, 200.00 lakhs is the actual collection for this financial year

ELECTRICITY BOARD

Jharkhand State Electricity Board On 15.11.2000 the Land of lord Birsa emerged as a new state as State of Jharkhand, which filed up the inhabitants of the state with great Joy. Since independence, the people of Jharkhand who are residing in remote places had not seen the light of civilisation which actually come through the new Carrier "Electricity". Immediately after the new state was constituted on 10.01.2001 the state of Jharkhand announced constitution, of Jharkhand State Electricity Board to take up all activities for electrification of the whole state. On 16.03.2001 the Government of Jharkhand appointed the Chairman and member of Jharkhand State Electricity Board and the first Board took up its work with great enthusiasm.

In Garhwa electricity board,Garhwa the total collection of revenue for the month January 2011 is 53.30 lakhs and in previous month total collection is 320.00 lakhs and upto coming future month, revenue collection is 261.19 lakhs. But, 360.00 lakhs is the actual collection for this financial year

In Garhwa electricity board,NagarUntari the total collection of revenue for the month January 2011 is 38.70 lakhs and in previous month total collection is 247.51 lakhs and upto coming future month, revenue collection is 286.21 lakhs. But, 360.00 lakhs is the actual collection for this financial year
